What is eduroam?
eduroam is a secure Wi-Fi network available at Dartmouth and over 38,000 other locations world-wide.
Why do I need to upgrade?
Dartmouth is upgrading security on its eduroam network to follow current best practices.
When must I upgrade by?
All devices must upgrade no later than July 1, 2024 or they will no longer be able to connect to eduroam.

Does my device support eduroam?
If your device connects to eduroam today, it likely also supports the upgraded connection as well. Click here for more details about the required technologies for the upgraded eduroam connection.
What will happen if I don't upgrade by July 1, 2024?
If a device's eduroam connection is not upgraded by July 1, 2024, it will no longer be able to connect to eduroam or access resources on the campus network.
Does this affect Dartmouth Public or Wired Ethernet connections?
Dartmouth Public and wired Ethernet connections on campus are unaffected by this change. If your device supports eduroam, we recommend that you connect to it instead of Dartmouth Public.
What devices should connect to eduroam?
Any device that supports eduroam should connect to it instead of Dartmouth Public. Connecting to eduroam is more secure and is required to access many on-campus resources.
I am at DHMC or another campus that provides eduroam. What do I do?
You must still upgrade your eduroam connection. You do not need to be on the Dartmouth campus in order to upgrade.
